Working on a farm is not for everyone. Handling an animal who could be upset, or has a difficult personality, or an animal who is in pain can be challenging or dangerous. Not only that, the weather can be frigid, snowy, icy, rainy, or so hot you want to pass out. Tony and I have the best group of guys anywhere and we are lucky that we have them. They are reliable, they step up to any challenge, and treat the animals with kindness. From the horses, to the barn cats, to our three big tail wagging brutes we call Hoss, Finn, and Mac. They are just kind people and it is appreciated. Most days, someone is going above and beyond the call of duty. Especially, during foaling season, hay time, and sales. It’s not always the same person-it’s whoever has the capacity to complete the challenge laid before us. I seldom hear that anyone complains and we always value any input on anything farm related. Though we are not related we consider them all family.
