John Ennis, born and raised in Ireland. At sixteen, he graduated from The Racing Academy and Centre of Education (RACE), and became a jockey in Ireland for a brief time, then decided to come to the United States to gain more experience. He started out as a rider and then began breaking and training horses. Over time the evolution to trainer first has made his career more successful. The main reason Rose Hill Farm loves to use John Ennis to develop our young horses is his philosophy. John is not hard on young horses, he feeds them well, and he listens to the horses to tell him when they are ready. John loves what he does and he learns something new everyday.
